Overall in good condition. Powerful, expressive composition. The present work originates from a creative phase in which the artist lived and worked in Provence. There, Uhlig processed his impressions of the multifaceted landscapes and broke with traditional pictorial compositions by emphasising colour and form as the main carriers of meaning. The compositions, which were mainly created outdoors, reflect the diversity of the French region in their colouring and dynamism. Watercolour on laid paper.
