EASTERN GREEK RECUMBENT STAG-SHAPED SILVER RHYTHON - XRF TESTED Ca. 500 BC. An important silver rhyton, a type of drinking horn, with a tall, conical body featuring repeating lengthwise ribs and a short flared rim. The most remarkable aspect of this rhyton is the mythical beast at the base, likely a recumbent stag with long, curved, and decorated horns. The head is finely detailed with almond-shaped eyes and a long muzzle. Between the frontal paws, a small cylindrical spout is located. The bottom is characterised by a short funnel pedestal.
