Ebony and ivory display cabinet. Italy. 17th century; and carved ivory and coral "Our Lady Immaculate" Trapani. Italy. 18th century. Large cabinet resting on its original base which hides a folding door in its interior. It has an architectural structure and is topped with a shrine with five ivory pinnacles and cherubim decoration. In the lower part, in ivory marquetry, is the motto "RESPICE IN FACIEM CHRISTI TUI". There are two alcoves on each side, and on the right, there are also three secret drawers. Its original key is preserved. The interior houses a delicate ivory sculpture which rests on its original wooden plinth, covered with mother of pearl plaques, three ivory cherubins and two coral branches.
