Continental European school, circa 1750. Couple at the harpsichord. The singer in a pink dress and the harpsichordist in a blue suit richly embroidered with gold, on the edge of a park with a large rock in the background on the right. Very fine miniature on ivory, painted with gouache and stippling. (Small stain and gap at top right). Height 5.3 cm; Width: 7 cm. Gross weight: 8 g. Without frame or glass. *An ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to 1 July 1947 and therefore in conformity with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to 1 July 1975 and therefore in conformity with the French decrees of 4 May 2017 and January 2022.
