18th CENTURY FOREIGN SCHOOL. Presumed equestrian portrait of Prince George Louis of Hanover, future sovereign of Great Britain (1660-1727), on the battlefield. In the past, this work was often attributed to his brother Maximilian William of Brunswick, Prince of Hanover (1666-1726). Oil on canvas, preserved in an antique blackened wood frame. Age wear, small missing parts. Sight: H.: 67 cm - W.: 56.5 cm. Frame: H.: 74 cm - W.: 64 cm.
