The first commission in 1816, entrusted in part to Girodet, included portraits of Bonchamps, Cathelineau, Charrette, Lescure, Pichegru, Moreau, La Rochejaquelin Henri and Louis, Suzannet. Leader of the Breton Chouannerie, Georges Cadoudal (Brech 1771- Paris 1804) refused Napoleon's offers of pacification in 1800 and went into exile in London. He plotted an assassination attempt in 1803 with Pichegru and Moreau.
