Presented in a brass frame topped with a ribboned bow and forming an easel (Maison Alphonse Giroux).
On the back a handwritten label stating "Jeanne-Marie de Thésut wife of Philibert Gagne de Périgny then Philiberte Gagne de Perigny wife of Bénigne de Saint-Seine; emigrès".
Early 19th century frame signed Giroux.
