Russian icon of the Old Believers in wood painted in tempera, decorated in the centre with a cast bronze cross chased and enamelled with 5 polychrome enamels, surrounded by representations of Saint John and Saint George, the Three Marys, the Descent from the Cross and the Deposition in the Tomb. Finished in gold leaf. Central Russia, Vladimir region, circa 1870-1880.
