School circa 1850. Portrait of a dandy wearing a frock coat in the fashion of the late 18th century, in a three-quarter bust to the left. Frame covered with blue velvet forming an easel, with a gilded brass visor with a palmette motif. (Mottling.) Height 6.5 cm; Width: 5.4 cm. Gross weight: 192 g. *An ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to 1 July 1947 and therefore in conformity with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to 1 July 1975 and therefore in conformity with the French decrees of 4 May 2017 and January 2022.
