A calabiran woman with a tambourine, cardboard 35 x 25,50 CM - 13,8 x 10 IN. Édouard Pingret produced a number of portraits of women in costume. Between 1841 and 1846, the Royal Costume Gallery published a work on "Italian Costumes painted by Pingret". This study can be compared with two others, sold at Tajan on 19 June 2018 (no. 68 and no. 69). They bear the same inscriptions on the reverse.
