"The statue in the Weintraub collection could be by the same hand as the maternity statue in the former Schindler collection, now in the Ziff collection; the ornamentation of the two pieces, the fine scarification marks and the highly concentrated treatment of the facial features are very similar, as is the distinctive shape of the tapering shoulders.
