EGYPTIAN AMARNA POTTERY NECK OF JAR New Kingdom, Reign of Akhenaton, Ca. 1352 - 1336 BC. A painted pottery neck fragment from a vessel, decorated with a band of blue tapered panels outlined in black, alternating with red teardrop-shaped motifs. The design is framed above and below by black lines, with additional red and blue horizontal stripes at the base. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
