EGYPTIAN ANHYDRITE HEAD OF PRIEST.
Mid-Dynasty 12th-13th, Ca. 1844-1630 BC.
A naturalistic, carved anhydride head of a male, possibly a priest, displaying a round visage of minimalist features. Gazing out from recessed eyes with elongated outer edges, his face is comprised of a bulbous nose and pursed lips, all surmounted by a sizable bald dome.
