EGYPTIAN BAS-RELIEF WITH DOUBLE CARTOUCHE OF AMENOPHIS IV / AKHENATON 13th Dynasty, Ca. 1353 - 1336 BC. A block of crystalline marble shaped as a double cartouche, enclosing inscriptions of the sun disc Aten: “Ra-Harakhty rising in the Horizon” and “in his name as the light which is in the Aten.” The sides bear the name of the king, linking the god Aten to his intermediary on earth.
