EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN AND GOLD BEADED NECKLACE. Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A necklace composed of small cylindrical carnelian beads interspersed with elongated biconical gold beads. At the centre, three larger carnelian beads are separated by gold spacers with spiral detailing. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition. Size: 330/660mm x 15mm; Weight: 10.70g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Private collection, Paris.
