EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN AND GOLD BEADED NECKLACE. Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A necklace composed of small cylindrical carnelian beads interspersed with elongated biconical gold beads. At the centre, three larger carnelian beads are separated by gold spacers with spiral detailing.
