EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN BASTET CAT-SHAPED PENDANT New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A carnelian pendant carved in the form of a seated cat with upright posture, the forelegs positioned close together and the body resting on an integral rectangular base. Pointed ears rise from a smoothly contoured head, with a suspension loop cut at the back of the neck.
