EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN SCARAB. Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A carnelian scarab with a smooth base, pierced longitudinally. The domed back shows a shallow clypeal notch and two incised arcs for the pronotum, with the elytral divisions left plain.
