EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN SEAL WITH GOLD LOOP New Kingdom, Ca. 1250 BC. A carnelian seal carved with a scorpion, its segmented body detailed with a crosshatched pattern. A small nefer sign is placed in the lower right corner. The back of the seal features a small handle with a recessed channel, through which a delicate twisted gold wire loop is threaded.
