EGYPTIAN DJEDHOR MUMMY BANDAGE WITH THE TEXT FROM THE BOOK OF DEAD AND BOAT PROCESSION Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A mummy bandage inscribed with hieratic text and a funerary vignette. The long, narrow strip of linen is written in black ink with horizontal lines of text from the Book of the Dead, naming the deceased Djedhor, son of Tadiousir. Above the text is a drawn scene of a funerary boat procession, showing a seated figure beneath a canopy, flanked by standing figures and divine attendants. Mounted in a modern wooden frame.
