EGYPTIAN FAIENCE ANUBIS AMULET Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A faience amulet in the form of the jackal-headed god Anubis standing on an integral rectangular base. The figure is shown striding forward with arms at the sides, and wearing a short kilt. The head is rendered with prominent ears and a projecting snout.
