EGYPTIAN FAIENCE BABOON AMULET Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC. A faience amulet modelled in the form of a squatting baboon seated on a rectangular base. The figure is depicted with a ridged mane, crosshatched upper body, and arms resting on bent knees. A suspension loop is pierced horizontally at the top.
