EGYPTIAN FAIENCE BES BOTTLE Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A faience bottle with a short, funnel-shaped neck and a rounded body decorated with a moulded face of Bes. The deity is depicted with a broad nose, furrowed brow, and protruding tongue. His headdress is marked with incised lines, extending around the upper portion of the vessel. A small loop handle is attached to the neck. Size: 47.8mm x 31.9mm; Weight: 9.54g Provenance: London collection; Ex.
