EGYPTIAN FAIENCE CYLINDER SEAL AND STEATITE SCARAB Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A faience cylinder seal and a steatite scarab. The seal is engraved with a standing figure, a stag, and a stylised tree set within a bordered field. The scarab is almond-shaped with a flat base incised with rows of elongated ovals flanked by zigzag motifs and is pierced lengthwise for suspension.
