EGYPTIAN FAIENCE NECKLACE WITH CENTRAL EYE OF HORUS AMULET. Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1069 - 664 BC. A restrung necklace consisting of a strand of small, round faience beads that splits into two strands approximately two-thirds along its length. The beads exhibit a variety of shades, including teal, turquoise, beige, and brownish-red. The arrangement culminates at the centre in a faience wedjat eye amulet with an accentuated pupil. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
