EGYPTIAN FAIENCE RECTANGULAR BEAD. Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A rectangular faience bead with a flat surface and straight edges. The front is decorated with three vertical columns of incised hieroglyphs, separated by incised dividing lines. The upper edge has two perforations for suspension. The surface displays a matte glaze with subtle variations in hue. The reverse is undecorated. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
