EGYPTIAN FAIENCE SCARAB IN GOLD SWIVEL RING. Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A green glazed faience scarab modelled with naturalistic features and a flat underside engraved with a hieroglyphic inscription. It is set within an oval-shaped gold frame attached to a solid hoop, allowing it to swivel within the setting. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
