EGYPTIAN FAIENCE USHABTI WITH INSCRIPTION. Late Period, 27th Dynasty, Ca. 500 BC. A faience ushabti wearing a tripartite wig framing a small oval face with a plaited false beard, the slim mummiform body tapering to a narrow square plinth. The forearms are crossed high on the chest and hold agricultural implements, and a shallow back-pillar runs down the back. For similar see: Christie's, Live Auction 19992, Antiquities, Lot 114.
