EGYPTIAN GOLD RING WITH FAIENCE BEZEL DEPICTING HORUS' EYE. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, Ca. 1550 - 1295 BC. A gold swivel ring set with a green-glazed steatite rectangular plaque incised with an udjat eye. The reverse bears a hieroglyphic inscription reading "May the beauty of my lord remain". The shoulders of the hoop are decorated with coiled wire detailing. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
