EGYPTIAN MOSAIC GLASS ANKH AND WAS SIGN INLAY - EX. CHRISTIE'S.
Ca. 100 BC - AD 100.
A mosaic glass inlay depicting an opaque white ankh flanked by Seth-headed was-sceptre, also in white, with dark blue detailing. The composition is set against a translucent cobalt blue background. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
