EGYPTIAN MOSAIC GLASS INLAY. Ca. 100 BC - AD 100. A fragmentary mosaic glass inlay with a dense checkerboard pattern and a narrow band along the edge. The main design consists of black, white, and brown tesserae arranged in a compact grid. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
