EGYPTIAN MOSAIC GLASS WING INLAY.
Ptolemaic, Ca. 332 - 30 BC.
A fragmentary mosaic glass inlay with parallel stripes forming a feathered pattern running across an orange matrix. Each line have a tapering profile, with one end transitioning into dark blue. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
