EGYPTIAN PAINTED POTTERY JAR WITH NILOTIC SCENE.
Amarna Period, Ca. 1353 - 1336 BC
A large painted pottery jar with a broad ovoid body rising to a narrow neck. The exterior is decorated with horizontal bands and a Nilotic scene of alternating lotus stems and long-necked birds with outstretched wings. Further painted bands encircle the lower body.
