EGYPTIAN RED GARNET STAMP SEAL DEPICTING FISH AND AN ANKH CROSS. Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A red garnet stamp seal with a flat rectangular face with rounded corners and a short rear handle, pierced transversely and fitted with a twisted gold loop. The sealing face is engraved with a fish and an ankh to the right. Size: 17mm x 12mm; Weight: 2.2g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with G. Metz, Sweden 1980s-1990s.
