EGYPTIAN STEATITE SCARAB WITH RAMSESS III CARTOUCHE.
Late Ramesside or later, Ca. 1190 - 1150 BC.
A steatite scarab modelled with a rounded clypeus, a segmented pronotum, and deep median grooves dividing the elytra, the legs shown in relief along the sides. The flat base is neatly engraved with a central oval cartouche bearing the prenomen "Usermaatre Meri-Amon" of Ramesses III, with additional hieroglyphic signs, including epithets, arranged in the field.

Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with G. Metz, Sweden 1980s-1990s.
