EGYPTIAN STONE CUP Old Kingdom, Ca. 2600 - 2200 BC. A hemispherical cup carved from banded stone with parallel striations in tones of brown, cream, and amber. The interior is smoothly finished, and the rim is slightly incurved. The rounded body narrows subtly towards a small, neatly defined ring base. For similar see: A.
