EGYPTIAN STRIPED FAIENCE BALL BEAD. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A faience bead of a spherical form, decorated with alternating blue and black radial stripes. The pattern is evenly spaced, converging at the central perforation that runs through the core. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
