Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 3o BC A wood and plaster sarcophagus mask modelled as an oval face with smooth planes and slightly rounded cheeks, the features formed in relief with straight nose, small mouth and rounded chin. The upper surface is coated with a plaster layer, painted with large elongated eyes with black cosmetic lines and thin arching brows. Size: 310mm x 240mm; Weight: 955g. Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with Kurt Deppert collection, Munich, 1970s.
