Note: Kiyomizu-dera temple is one of Japan's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Founded over 1,200 years ago and located halfway up Mount Otowa, Kiyomizu-dera Temple offers spectacular panoramic views. The temple is also referred to as a 'Kannon Reijo', which means 'sacred place' in Japanese. Kannon is the main deity of the temple and embodies compassion.
