ELAMITE BRONZE FIGURE OF A RECUMBENT IBEX.
Ca. 3000 - 2500 BC
A bronze figure of an ibex shown recumbent, the legs tucked beneath the body and the arched back ending in a short, rounded tail. The long neck rises to a narrow head with pointed ears set high, prominent eyes, and a small, pointed beard projecting from the chin, the forehead surmounted by horn projections.
