ELAMITE OR CENTRAL ASIAN CYLINDER SEAL WITH DEERS FLANKED BY SERPENTS Ca. 2000 - 1000 BC. A limestone cylinder seal engraved with a stylised deer in profile, flanked on one side by a sinuous serpent. The deer is shown standing with extended legs and raised head, while the serpent coils beside it, its body detailed with evenly spaced notches suggesting scales. Studied by PD Dr. habil.
