Auf gewölbtem Standring mit ausgestelltem Rand und Akanthusranken der Korpus aus reich beschnitzter Elfenbeinummantelung über Silberkern. Das umlaufende Dekor in Flach- und teils nahezu vollplastischem Hochrelief zeigt von links nach rechts ein Paar, welches nach und nach alternd und mit verschiedenen Attributen, die Lebensalter durchschreitet. Mittig und unter dem Henkel Putten mit Weintrauben und Weinfaß dargestellt. Der Deckel mit Frucht- und Blattrelief entlang des gewölbten Randes. Der Knauf in Form eines kleinen Putto mit Füllhorn aus Elfenbein gearbeitet. Ca. 1130 (inkl. Elfenbein)g. Höhe 23cm. On domed base with flared rim and acanthus vines the body of a lavishly carved ivory cover on a silver core. The encircling décor in bas relief and partly, almost sculptural high relief depicts a couple that grows older little by little from left to right, and goes through the ages with various attributes. Centrally and below the handle, putti with grapes and a barrel of wine. The lid with fruit and foliage in relief along the domed rim. The small putto with cornucopia from ivory as finial.
