Counterfeit made in Livorno between 1770 and 1779, of the original edition of 1751-1772, marked "Third edition" and "second edition" for the 5 supplement volumes. Text: Livorno, 1770-1775 (volumes I to XVII) [17 vols]. Plates: Livorno, 1771-1778 (11 vols.) [vols. I to XII]. Supplement: Livorno, 1778-1779 (5 vols. [vols. I to V], of which 4 of text and 1 of plates). A medallion portrait of the Grand Duke of Tuscany on the frontispiece. A complete copy of the 3132 plates, conforming to the table, according to the manner of counting of the publishers (they correspond to the 2795 plates regrafted according to the 1751 edition), many of which are folded, some folded tables. Counterfeit in 33 folio volumes. Presented as the third edition after the Paris edition of 1751-1772 and the Lucca reprint of 1758-1776, it is rarer than the first and, above all, the only one to have been reprinted with supplements. The volumes are sometimes slightly foxed, with light rings.
