A set of German water bottles and quarters comprising a deformed aluminium quarter, approximately forty percent black paint retained, with ZPSZ manufacture dated 1936. A second quarter is made of black Bakelite. A third aluminium quarter has ten per cent black paint, with VDNS manufacture dated 1936. A coco canteen, dated 1942, is fitted with a bakelite stopper and a harness combining canvas and leather. The carabiner is functional, although the leather is very dry. Another aluminium canteen, with an incomplete Bakelite stopper, has a partially missing canvas harness. It is marked EEF 40. An aluminium quarter, with eighty percent preserved black paint, is marked Raske and CFL 43. Another aluminium quarter, completely crushed, retains about sixty per cent of its paint, but the markings are illegible. A completely crushed water bottle is also present, without a stopper, and marked MN 40. A leather harness for a large capacity canteen is included. The leather is dry and the carrying strap is missing. An aluminium canteen with bakelite stopper is marked SKN 39. A felt cover, with functional snaps, has an original repair to the side. The leather harness is complete and shows a period repair. There is some wear and a marked patina to all parts. Condition II+. A third aluminium mess cup has about 10% of its black paint, marked VDNS 1936. A coconuttype canteen dated 1942 has a bakelite cap and a mixed canvas and leather harness. The snap hook is functional although the leather is very dry. Another aluminium canteen with an incomplete bakelite cap has a partially missing canvas harness, marked EEF 40. An aluminium mess cup with about 80% black paint remaining is namemarked Raske and manufactured by CFL 43. Another heavily dented aluminium mess cup with about 60% paint left has illegible markings. A completely crushed canteen, without cap, marked MN 40, is included. A leather harness designed for a largecapacity canteen is present the leather is dry and the carrying strap is missing. An aluminium canteen with a bakelite cap marked SKN 39 is included. A felt cover with functioning snap fasteners shows an original repair on its side. The leather harness is complete and shows a period repair. Some wear and pronounced patina are noted on all items. Condition II+.
