A set of German water bottles and quarters comprising an aluminium quarter with approximately twenty percent Feldgrau paint, with markings no longer legible. A black bakelite quarter is also present. Another aluminium quarter has twenty per cent black paint, the clip on the back is missing, the manufacture is attributed to FSL 38 and a nameplate mentions the name Franck. An aluminium quarter, with eighty per cent black paint, is marked JSD 38. Another quarter, unpainted and heavily dented, is marked KCL 39. A further aluminium quarter retains sixty per cent of its Feldgrau paintwork, but its markings are illegible. A coco flask, dated 1942, has a black bakelite stopper. A red enamelled metal canteen is also included, with a bakelite stopper, a felt cover with functional snaps, a full canvas harness and an operational carabiner. Another aluminium canteen, marked RFI 4, has a complete stopper. There is also a felt cover with functional snaps. Finally, an incomplete leather harness is attached to the set, with a carabiner that is still functional. There is some wear and a marked patina on all the parts. Condition II+. Set of German canteens and mess cups including an aluminium mess cup with approximately 20% of its original Feldgrau paint remaining, bearing illegible markings. A black bakelite mess cup is also included. Another aluminium mess cup has about 20% of its black paint remaining the attachment on the back is missing. It is marked as manufactured by FSL 38 and bears the name Franck. An aluminium mess cup with 80% of its original black paint is marked JSD 38. Another heavily dented mess cup, lacking paint, is marked KCL 39. An additional aluminium mess cup retains 60% of its Feldgrau paint, with illegible markings. A coconuttype canteen dated 1942 features a black bakelite cap. A red enameled metal canteen is also included, complete with a bakelite cap, a felt cover with functional snap fasteners, a full canvas harness, and a working snap hook. Another aluminium canteen marked RFI 4 has a complete cap. A felt cover with functional snaps is also present. Finally, an incomplete leather harness is included, with a stillfunctional snap hook. The entire set shows some wear and a pronounced patina consistent with age. Condition II+.
