Set of RAD insignia including a search identification plate, marked with the serial number M153 RAD 2/161/2591 from Schumanns, this unit was the 2nd Abteilung of the regional group 161. According to some sources, this Abteilung was associated with the localities of Bad Driburg and Leipzig, heavily oxidised. An aluminium RAD belt buckle, no visible markings. A metal headdress badge, with its fastenings present. Another enamelled metal headdress badge, with all the enamel missing and the back clip missing. An NS RAD Abtlg 4/305 Braunschweig badge, with its complete fastening. There is some wear and a marked patina to all items. Condition II+. According to the seller's information this item comes from Wiltz. On 19 December 1944, in the face of German pressure, the American forces withdrew and Wiltz fell to the Germans. All items show wear and patina consistent with age. Condition II+ According to the seller, this set was found in Wiltz. On December 19, 1944, facing increasing German pressure, American forces retreated, and Wiltz fell into German hands.
