After hearing Pierre Cardin talk about ready-to-wear, he became interested in the term. In effect, we were moving away from the exclusive, making things accessible, while basing ourselves on a very high quality of finish. In three words, ready-to-wear meant for him: instantly recognisable style, quality materials and elegance for the wearer. The challenge is: how to be recognisable? How about the ring itself? Until now, rings have been semi-circular or band-shaped. He based his design on the "tondellissima" theme developed by his grandfather, who abolished angles and tried to create a tubular ring that was very soft on the eye. This was to become Pomellato's trademark! And it's what we find in this beautiful set from the Luna collection. Everything is soft, the ring of course, but also the gold parts on the earrings and the choice of cabochons. The angles fade away to make way for a remarkable softness.
