Set of German documents including an Ausweiskarte with an illegible name, accompanied by an original passport photograph dated 1940. The lot includes an NSDAP envelope addressed to Dr Pauli in Laufen, handwritten with the name Helmut Rudolf Julius Pauli, who died on 21 July 1941 in Salbuch. This envelope contains his death notice. A second, empty envelope is marked Von Bezirksamt Traunstein. Also included is a document entitled Stadt Krankenhauspflicht Assistentenzeit, written on behalf of Dr Pauli in Bad Reichenhall in 1946. The lot includes a letter dated October 1946 from the Jewish Committee of Permanent Camp Ainring. A photograph of a First World War soldier, identified as Dr Pauli on the left, accompanies the set. Another envelope is marked Die Lehrtraste aller offentlichen Schulen in der Regierungsbezirken Oberbayern und Schwaben. A second death notice by Dr Pauli completes this lot. Military medical family. All pieces show moderate wear and a period patina. Condition II+. Laufen, Bavaria, was home to a prisoner of war camp (Oflag VIIC) during the Second World War. This camp was mainly intended for captured allied officers. German military doctors were assigned to look after the prisoners.
