18th and 19th centuries
Arabic manuscripts on paper comprising: a large commentary in its original binding, entitled al-Fuqaha' al-sab'a, dated jumada II 1133 H/1721, possession mark dated 1193 H/1779-80, 31 lines of maghribi per page, in its original flap binding; a commentary by Ibn 'Aqil (d. 1120) on Ibn Malik's Alfiyya, lithographed by Ahmad Efendi al-Azhari, dated AH 1279 / 1862-63, a philological work on Ibn Malik's poetry; a portion of the Qur'an from sura 19 "Maryam" to sura 35 "al-Fatir", 12 lines of maghribi per page, in its original binding (restored); a work of fiqh, acephalous, unbound but held in brown morocco and preserved in a leather case marked vol. I of the Great Commentary of Shaykh al-Dardir; an acephalous work of fiqh dated AH 1114 / AD 1702-03; an incomplete, acephalous work of grammar and philology dating from the 18th century; volume 3 of a commentary on Ibn Malik's Alfiyya, dated AH 1281 / AD 1864-65, with extensive marginal glosses, in a green binding; the commentary of al-Dasuqi (d. 1815) on al-Sanusi's Umm al-Barahin (d. 1490), dated AH 1214/1799-1800; and a large treatise on Traditions (Hadith), incomplete and headless, in its original binding.
