Mounted in finely chased gilt bronze.
Pommel with bust of King Henri IV. Bow
with a female face (probably
Queen Margot). Keyboard with profile of King
Louis XVIII and horns of plenty, flanked
two quillons in the form of medallions
depicting female profiles. Wooden spindle
covered with two fluted mother-of-pearl
mother-of-pearl plates. Straight blade with triangular section,
gripped in the scabbard. Leather scabbard
and brass fittings (accidents and missing parts).
