SWORD OF THE MEMBERS OF THE INSTITUTE OF EGYPT Mounted in finely chased gilt bronze on amati fons. Pommel with palmette with palmette decoration, flat jointed bow four-leaf clover and palm leaves. Curved spider web quillon. Keyboard in the style of the institute with palmette on a spider web background. Plates in mother-of-pearl with the head of an Egyptian deity. Straight Solingen blade with triangular triangular cross-section engraved in gold and one third blued. Wooden scabbard covered with white leather, probably reported, missing. France, First Empire period. Total length: 89 cm PROVENANCE : - Roger de Montégudet collection (1880-1925) - by descent to this day.
